My digital zine, "Intersection of Gender, Race, and Poverty: Lewisburg, PA Prison System," seeks to bring attention to the impact of incarceration on individuals' employment, financial stability, and access to resources, ultimately contributing to the cycle of poverty. My goal is to underscore the need for upholding human and constitutional rights by advocating for legal guidance and representation for those incarcerated. My theme of the zine resonates with the values of the "Lewisburg Prison Project," a non-profit organization based in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. By shedding light on the Lewisburg Prison Project, I intend to highlight the unique challenges faced by incarcerated individuals, especially those from marginalized communities, who often face limited resources and financial constraints in securing legal representation.
