Description
Like many IR/Effectiveness offices at smaller institutions, one of the main challenges we face is the size of our staff. The increasing external demands for reporting, transparency, and accountability, as well as the internal shift in culture to be more data-driven, make serving our internal constituents challenging. Having a high price tag, private institutions have experienced the constant pressure to justify their cost. As a result, we have seen the demand for our services to increase exponentially. Bucknell's Office of Institutional Research & Planning has taken various approaches in addressing those pressures and needs. We also demonstrate how data transparency and availability are essential for planning, recruiting and marketing through the eyes of an academic department.
