Description
I will present our work on how we use molecular hosts to grow single crystals of organic compounds, as well as reversibly capture environmental pollutants. I think our approach to design, synthesize and characterize these systems will appeal to a broader audience as it will highlight how a scientific project can be driven with a certain function in mind. My hope is that my talk will demystify chemistry for those who might be unfamiliar with its molecular nature, and help them appreciate its significance and potential in our lives.
