Description

I will describe the professional development I ran with middle and high school teachers in Cyprus as part of my Fulbright experience last year. The PD was designed to develop teachers' technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) regarding noticing students’ mathematical thinking while students are working on technology-enhanced math tasks. During the talk, you'll have the opportunity to experience one of the PD activities through exploring a technology and watching a video of students' working with the technology. Afterwards, I will share results from the Cypriot teachers' responses to a post-PD questionnaire in which they discuss what they learned as a result of engaging with the PD and teaching a technology-enhanced math task in their own classrooms.
