Description
This document encompasses a strategic plan concerning the future structure, strategy, processes, and people that will be associated with the Shamokin Reuse Warehouse’s operations. This plan provides recommendations for transforming the 400 E Sunbury Street post office into a reuse warehouse and a multipurpose community center. It is intended to be reviewed by stakeholders in the Shamokin community, such as community leaders, local businesses, and residents. By involving these stakeholders in the review process, this document is a foundational step in devising their long-term plan. As this plan is subject to change over time, it can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the community and ensure that the Reuse Warehouse’s operations align with the community’s goals and objectives. Most importantly, this plan might be the basis for further discussions as this project materializes over time.
This project was completed as part of the requirements for MORS 400: Management Consulting at Bucknell University in Spring 2023, taught by Prof. Eric Martin. The project was completed in partnership with the City of Shamokin and its Economic Development Authority with support from the shared Environmental Resiliency Americorps VISTA with the City of Shamokin and the Bucknell Center for Sustainability & the Environment.
