Description
In this 11 minute documentary, volunteer fire fighters in Shamokin, PA share the history and community within their fire companies and the challenges in recruiting new, young volunteers. The film features interviews with Lt. Corey Pilkus, Prof. Ben Marsh, William Milbrand, Amber Wheary, Ali Varano, and Jessica Britton. This documentary is a sequel to "Shamokin Fire History Museum: One Man, One Museum, One Community" available here.
Documentary created by the Spring 2016 Sociology 206 Video Ethnography students Rusty Barrick '16, Tyler Greene '17, and Joe Stolfi '16, taught by Prof. Carl Milofsky with video assistance from Instructional Technologist Video Production Specialist Brianna Derr.
