Description

This article provides an overview of open educational resources (OER) and their relevance to higher education and academic libraries. It covers current applications of OER, open textbooks, and other open content, as well as a brief overview of open pedagogy, discusses potential hurdles involved in finding and using openly-licensed materials. Lists of tools and resources for additional information are included.
