Description
Hosted by Bucknell's Center for Sustainability and the Environment (BCSE), this workshop provides an introduction to the BCSE's network of 17 field stations. BCSE field stations are sites of interdisciplinary research, teaching, creative works, and outreach located in Pennsylvania, largely concentrated in Central Pennsylvania. The network provides students, faculty, and staff opportunities to work with partner organizations in hands-on environmental and sustainability priorities.
Presented by BCSE staff Samantha Myers (Operations Manager), Milton Newberry III (Sustainable Technology Program director), Shaunna Barnhart (Place Studies Program Director), Ben Hayes (Watershed Sciences and Engineering Program director) as well as faculty perspectives from Professor Eddy Lopez (Studio Art), and Professor Donna Ebenstein (Biomedical Engineering), this video shares information on how the network of BCSE Field Stations can be leveraged for teaching and research including: experiential learning opportunities, field experiences, access to research networks, and more. Hear from faculty about interdisciplinary projects, collaborative research, and community partnerships that their classes have engaged through the network.
