John Hume and Bishop Edward Daly

John Hume gives a small amount of background about his life but the main thrust is his view that as political and economic institutions developing the wake of the troubles, people become more tolerant of diversity and healing begins to happen in a conflict society like Northern Ireland.

The speakers have a window behind them so the video pictures are dark. The sound is soft so the audio is very hard to hear. However, Hume as the Nobel Prize winner and Daly as Catholic Bishop during the troubles are important speakers and this is the most effective lecture given by Hume during our Bucknell in Northern Ireland years.
