Abstract

In Hopper We Trust, Come Dream With Us! The Cozy Kids Co. devoted the spring 2021 MGMT 101 semester to our main partner organizations, the Kelsey’s Dream Organization and the Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, and our indirect partner organization, Camp Dost. The mission of our company was aiming our focus and energy on helping the children, most importantly. The Service Division held different events and activities in collaboration with Kelsey’s Dream and the Children’s Hospital. For Kelsey’s Dream, a portion of our company operations were dedicated to making 34 fleece knot blankets for Kelsey’s Dream to give to Camp Dost. For the hospital, different members of our company hosted a Virtual Zoom Game Night to connect with the children and momentarily transport them to a place of hope and happiness. Finally, our company members were able to use the Hopper the ‘Cancer Crusher’ Frog stuffed animal to make uplifting and amusing videos for the children at the hospital. The Fundraising Division planned two events, including an Instagram Bingo and Virtual 5k Event. The first fundraising event, an Instagram Bingo, helped our company raise $2,728 from 126 different donors. For the second fundraising event, we hosted a week long Virtual 5K, which raised $428 from 15 different donors. By hanging flyers and virtually advertising, we were able to raise awareness and surpass our fundraising goal. As a cohesive team, all 27 members of the Cozy Kids Co. nurtured and grew our company to what it has become today. By the end of project operations, we hand-made 34 blankets with comforting notes for Kelsey’s Dream, raised $3,156 with an Instagram Bingo and a Virtual 5k week, hosted a Zoom Game Night to connect with the children, and created Hopper the Frog videos for the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital to show the children and keep for future use.
