Abstract

BISON ON THE BUS SPRING 2021 Bison On The Bus connected with the Lewisburg Area School District to embark on a service project aimed to help students navigate their way through any troubles brought on by Covid-19 during this unprecedented year. Additionally, we worked to show appreciation for teachers and all that they do for students of all ages. Our company worked passionately to execute three main aspects of our service project that focused on each of our clients specific needs. For middle school students we offered tutoring three days a week in all core subjects. At the high school level, Bison On The Bus hosted two informational panel webinars that answered frequently asked questions about the college admissions process, social life and opportunities in college. Finally, we demonstrated appreciation for teachers by writing handwritten letters to teachers our company members had in the past, and encouraged students around campus and in the local community to write letters to be delivered to their professors. We are proud to say we had great participation from our company and community; 102 letters were written to teachers in total, and 46 panel participants from LASD. The panels will also be posted on our website and shared with students in years to come, carrying out our legacy. Bison On The Bus enjoyed working together and with our stakeholders, and feel confident about the lasting impact we made on our local community. ANIRUSES CISM IS API Bison ON THE Bus In addition to our service work, Bison On The Bus held several fundraising events to raise money for the Green Dragon Foundation. To raise money our company partnered with Sweet Frog and Tonino's and had informational tables outside on the nights of our fundraisers. The majority of money made was through word of mouth, which goes to show how passionate and dedicated company members felt toward our cause. We had extremely successful events, and raised more than double the amount of our goal by surpassing $2,000. Bison On The Bus is proud of the work done to positively impact our local community, and had fun while getting the work done.
