Abstract

D’s Tees for Doggies sold an ivory Comfort Colors t-shirt with an original Bucknell bison graphic featured on a pocket in the front corner and an artistic mountainous emblem, reminiscent of the iconic view from the quad, on the back. Abiding by our commitment of supporting local business, the 225 shirts were screen pressed at Jordanna Adams, and we sold out before the final selling day. The additional $1709 in revenue generated from sales went directly to Mostly Mutts. D’s Tees for Doggies is so thankful to all stakeholders who made these Mutts, a volunteer no-kill dog shelter in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, to carry out our company’s passion for combatting animal abuse. Their mission statement - striving to rescue and provide safety for abandoned dogs, while educating others on proper care of animals and advocating for their respective rights - aligned with the vision and values of our company, making the partnership an exemplary match. To tend to the organization’s needs and to implement our own sustainability goals, we constructed a new kennel and dog playground, organized a storage shed, refurbished a carport to hold supplies, painted a mural to showcase the shelter’s entrance, and cared for the dogs on site. These projects accounted for 378 service hours in all. To alleviate some of the financial stressors of Mostly Mutts’ work, D’s Tees for Doggies supported local businesses through a variety of fundraising strategies. Our events included a bowling night at Imperial Lanes, a Dunkin’ and Dogs event with service dogs from Alliance Therapy Dogs, fund split events with Bull Run Tap House and SweetFrog, and a donation drive for new and gently used pet supplies. We also implemented an ongoing PayPal Giving Fund account for direct donations. These fundraising efforts generated a total of $1597.46, which went directly to Mostly Mutts. To fund service operations and meet our business objectives, D's Tees for Doggies sold an ivory Comfort Colors t-shirt with an original Bucknell bison graphic featured on a pocket in the front corner and an artistic mountainous emblem, reminiscent of the iconic view from the quad, on the back. Abiding by our commitment of supporting local business, the 225 shirts were screen pressed at Jordanna Adams, and we sold out before the final selling day. The additional $1709 in revenue generated from sales went directly to Mostly Mutts. D's Tees for Doggies is so thankful to all stakeholders who made these successes possible\!
