Aaron Gantz, Executive Director of Downtown Revitalization, Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, discussed the challenges and opportunities in the revitalization of Reading (Pa.). Gantz described the development of key planning and marketing documents including a condition report of private and public property, a five-year strategic planning document, and an assessment of downtown redevelopment. Gantz also discussed the importance of collecting statistics and highlighting assets to develop a positive narrative.
