Department Chair: Tulu Bayar

As a studio art major, you'll study painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, graphic design, multimedia, and video and performance art — and show your culminating work at the Samek Art Museum. Art history majors explore art from prehistory to the present through classes and experiences such as the Rothschild-Johnson Art Weekend in New York City. The Faculty Exhibitions collection contains records about exhibitions held by Bucknell Faculty, the Faculty Scholarship collection contains records filtered by department from Faculty Books and Other Faculty Research and Publications. The Art & Art History Student Scholarship collection contains records filtered by department from the Honors Thesis and Masters Thesis collections.

The main Art & Art History site includes a department description, faculty and staff contact information, and major and minor requirements. Past versions of the department website are archived by the Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) using the Archive-It web archiving services; capture began in 2015. Finding aids for departmental records are also available online.
